📖 The Book of Origins

 

Chapter 1: The Age of Men
   1.    And for centuries did humankind walk the earth, believing themselves its sole masters.
   2.    They were divided into four nations, each swollen with pride and greed, and they waged war after war—ninety and nine in number.
   3.    And lo, upon the eve of the hundredth war, a new terror came upon them—not of sword or cannon, but of sickness.
   4.    A great plague swept through the lands like fire through straw, and half of mankind was consumed.
   5.    Cities fell silent; kings were buried beneath their own banners; and the world grew quiet with death.

Chapter 2: The Coming of Shadows
   1.    In the stillness of ruin, whispers began—of figures that stalked the edges of night.
   2.    At first men laughed, saying, “These are tales of fear.”
   3.    But the laughter died, for the shadows took form.
   4.    One night, in all nations at once, they came—creatures of rot and rage, tearing through flesh and steel alike.
   5.    And when the sun rose, it shone upon empty streets and burning cities.
   6.    The survivors named them The Undead.

Chapter 3: The Last Fortress (Kalamas)
   1.    Fear became the forge of unity.
   2.    The four nations, once enemies, gathered in the center of the world and said, “Let there be one land, one people, one name.”
   3.    And so was born Kalamas, built upon the ashes of war.
   4.    At its heart they raised a fortress, and in its core they built the machine that would guard mankind—the Heart of Kalamas.
   5.    The Heart pulsed with light, repelling all that was not human.
   6.    For five years, there was peace, and men dared to dream again.

Chapter 4: The Ring of Death
   1.    But peace is a fragile lie.
   2.    Without warning, the Undead rose once more, clawing at the gates of Kalamas.
   3.    The Heart burned bright, and the invaders were turned to ash.
   4.    Yet its light could not reach beyond the walls, and the Undead took the lands that surrounded the fortress.
   5.    There they built their dark dominion and named it The Ring.
   6.    And from the southern ruins rose their king—a being of fire and shadow.

Chapter 5: Trials/ The Pact of Blood
   1.    The King of the Ring spoke, saying, “Let there be no more endless war. Let us play instead.”
   2.    And mankind, weary and broken, accepted his cruel bargain.
   3.    Thus were born The Arena Games, where man and Undead would fight not for slaughter, but for dominion.
   4.    The people called it The 1Up Arena.
   5.    Sixteen years the Games endured, and nine times mankind claimed victory, seven times the Undead.
   6.    And when the world began to believe in balance, the heavens themselves opened.

📖 The Book of the Skies

Chapter 6: The Descent of the Balancekeepers
   1.    From the northern mountains fell fire—a rain of light that split the clouds.
   2.    When the smoke cleared, the people beheld towering pods of silver and flame.
   3.    From within stepped beings of radiant power—the Skyborn, called Balancekeepers.
   4.    Three descended into Kalamas as if the Heart’s barrier were mist.
   5.    And they spake unto mankind, saying,
   6.    “Your enemies are not foreign—they are born of you.
   7.    The Undead are your hatred made flesh,
   8.    Your wars given form,
   9.    Your sins returned to you.”
   10.    And when they had spoken, they vanished into the northern peaks.

Chapter 7: The Third Dominion
   1.    The Balancekeepers returned again—but not as messengers.
   2.    They entered the Arena and won four games in succession.
   3.    From the lands of the Ring they carved their own dominion, high in the northeast and west.
   4.    Thus was born the Third Power upon the earth.
   5.    And mankind stood trembling, caught between the Undead below and the Skies above.
   6.    Now the fate of all creation lies within the Arena,
   7.    Where survival is not enough,
   8.    And every battle shapes the destiny of the world.
